Everything's Different, Nothing's Changed

http://www.downloadmovies24.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/desperate-housewives.jpg

There has finally been a new episode this week after a month of repeats.
http://www.wallpapersdb.org/original/444/
Last time we left off, Beth had signed over her kidney for Susan and then proceeded to shoot herself in her head.  With this horrific event, Paul tries to get in the way of Susan taking the kidney and Susan begins to think about it and declines the kidney as well.  Her friends and family are disappointed but cannot understand how she is feeling about the kidney, especially after talking to Paul Young of all people, a man who has had hate for her family.  In the end, the two talk and rethink things and Paul and Susan both agree for the kidney transplant.

When Paul and Susan speak, he tells her she is undeserving of his wife’s kidney since Susan and the other women always left her out and never made efforts to befriend her.  Susan reflects on their past with Beth and realizes she has never made any efforts to befriend this woman so she thinks why should I take her kidney if I never gave her anything in return?  This is another act of maturity for Susan.  In the past, she was always the naïve one and since this accident, she has been maturing and seeing things from different point of views.

Renee has been planning her annual Spring Fling party that always takes place the first Saturday of April and Gabby has agreed to help.  With the death of Beth Young, Gabby suggests canceling and Renee is adamant about still throwing the party.  The other neighbors refuse to go because of the poor heart on Renee’s part and Gabby ends up talking to Renee.  We learn that Renee’s mother had also committed suicide and she doesn’t believe in mourning if the person chose to take their life away and she believes in celebrating life.

We see another side of Renee here learning about her childhood.  Her mother had committed suicide when she was young and was never able to understand why at such a young age.  So that’s how she developed the belief of celebrating life at the time of death and not mourning because death opens her eyes almost about being alive and never knowing what will happen next.

Bree’s son Andrew returns and she learns from his partner, Alex that his alcoholism has been overwhelming lately and he ends up leaving Andrew.  Since alcoholism has a history in her family, Bree takes him to an AA meeting.  He expresses how he feels about his mother of how she tries to develop her kids to be the way she wants and walks out on her.  The two talk and she eventually gets him to open up and talk to her instead of a group of strangers.

With Bree’s son coming back with such a problem, she focuses all her attention on curing him.  She had talked to Beth the day before her suicide and she realized something was wrong but decided not to say anything since the women weren’t close friends with her.  Now that she can see a problem within Andrew, she knows she needs to act out and offer help before it is too late like with Beth, something she can never forgive herself for.

Because of the death of her daughter, Felicia (Beth’s mother, a woman out to get Paul because he strangled her sister Martha in season 1 for blackmailing his late wife Mary-Alice..confusing), has been released from prison.  This is now her chance to get her sworn revenge on Paul ever since he killed her sister.

Next episode, I hope to see that Susan’s surgery is a success and she can finally be out of the hospital and stress-free about her health.  Hopefully Bree’s son decides to move in to work on sobering up and working with Bree in order to do so.  And we will finally see how Felicia and Paul are going to interact now that she is out of jail and what will happen between the two.

The Women of Wisteria Lane

Yet again we are left without another episode this past Sunday but this Sunday there for sure will be a new episode.  So I decided for this week I’ll just recap on the main characters so far this season and what I think will be in store for each of them in the future.

http://img2.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/070928/eva_l.jpg
Gaby learned this season her daughter’s switch at the hospital and that Juanita isn’t her birth daughter.  After meeting with the family that has their real birth daughter, Gaby becomes very attached to her and gets hit hard when the family has to evacuate to Mexico.  Gaby was at a very low at this point, even buying a doll replica of her.  Carlos takes her to therapy and slowing she is starting to “forget” about Grace and is more focused on Juanita.  Gaby has overcome this obstacle in her life, very slowly but surely.  This shows how strong she truly can be, especially for whatever may happen to her or her family in the future.

Susan’s family has been struggling greatly with financial issues, resorting her to be on an erotic online web show.  She ends up quitting the job and Mike flies out to Alaska for a job for a few months.  After he is back, Susan is trampled on in a mob on Wisteria Lane, leaving her with an injured kidney, on dialysis and waiting on a kidney donor.  I think Susan will ultimately get her kidney but that something will go wrong in surgery leaving us all on the edges of our seats as to Susan’s fate and what will happen next.

Lynette has just had the newest Scavo child, Paige.  With her good friend from college, Rene, in the picture her family suffers family problems.  She finds out that Rene and Tom had been together over a weekend they were briefly broken up, her mother marries a grumpy man from the senior center, and her sons try to move out and live on their own.  Lynette’s family will further have their own problems as does every family but she will continue to stay strong in order to overcome it.  I think the incident with her brief stepfather’s death will come back to haunt the family after an autopsy proves an earlier death than one that they reported.

While Bree is just getting over her divorce, she starts to fall for the younger, handyman Keith.  The two form a relationship and Bree at first feels insecure about dating such a younger man but starts to build confidence off of it.  When an incident comes up where she learns that Keith has a son, she knows the right thing to do is to tell him about his son and risk not being with him anymore.  Keith proposes for the two of them to move to Florida to be closer to his son but Bree sadly declines and the two break up.  Bree is back at an ultimate low and needs something to bring her spirits up.  I think that the other housewives will fly her children and grandson in to visit her since she rarely gets to see them all.  Orson may also come back into her life again, as he did living with Bree and Keith briefly since he still had feelings for Bree.  So I think between her children and grandson flying in and Orson back into her life, she will regain her happiness yet again.

Rene is the new housewife on the lane, deciding to move onto Wisteria Lane after staying with college friend Lynette for a few weeks.  Because of her appeal, the women often find her sneaky and untrustworthy in the beginning.  But as Rene starts to notice the women’s’ feelings towards her, she progressively tries to change and be more mature like the women on the lane and everyone starts to respect her more.  I think that Rene will soon fall for a guy that doesn’t necessarily have the best looks or the most money and she will ultimately learn the true meaning of love, to love someone for who they are on the inside not the outside.

So this coming Sunday there will for sure be a new episode and it’ll sure be an interesting one after the last episode, Searching.

Jersey Shore Season 3 Finale

http://media.thenewschronicle.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/deena1.jpg
As usual, Desperate isn’t having another new episode until this Sunday.  So instead I’m going to write about the ever-so-famous reality show, Jersey Shore.  If anyone is unfamiliar with the show, its about eight Italian-American (although Jenni, Snooki, and Ronni aren’t fully Italian) aka “guidos” and “guidettes” living in a shore house in Seaside, New Jersey.  We basically just follow their entire summer on the shore whether they are at the gym, tanning or out clubbing at Karma.

This is the finale of their third season.  The first season took place in Seaside, New Jersey during the summer of 2009, the second season took place in Miami during the winter of 2010, and the third season is back to their Seaside house the summer of 2010.  To an outsider from watching this show, it might seem stupid and pointless—how can people just want to watch these people’s lives for an hour once a week?  As meaningless as this show seems, many people—myself included—find themselves addicted to the show and start to like or dislike the roommates.  Now that it’s the end of the third season, a Jersey Shore “newbie” would be very confused if they were to watch this show randomly for the first time with their names and lingos.  Here’s the breakdown:

http://remotecontrol.mtv.com/wp-content
/uploads/2010/12/btb_snooki_deena_jenni_sammi_blog.jpg

Girls left to right:
Sammi: No nick name really although she tries to call herself “Sammi-Sweatheart” but no one calls her that
Deena: One of Snooki’s friends from back home and joined the roommate this summer after former roommate Angelina left mid way through the first two seasons.
Jenni:  Aka “J-Woww”
Nicole: Aka “Snooki”

http://images.juniorslayouts.com
/picture/1/j/jersey_shore_guys-8605.jpg

Guys left to right:
Paul: Aka “Pauly D”, “DJ Pauly D”
Mike: Aka “The Situation”
Ronni: He's dating Sammi
Vinny: The youngest guy

Creepin’: Looking for a hookup at the club
Grenade: An ugly, heavier girl (so insulting)
Gorilla: A muscular, tan, guido.
Landmine: An ugly but thinner girl (again, so insulting)
The shirt before the shirt: A wifebeater the guys wear before they are about to go out.
Tee-shirt time: When they are about to leave, they change out of their wifebeaters and into their tee-shirts they’re going to wear that night.
DTF: Down to f**k.  Used when they are finding girls to bring back to the house from the club.
DTS: Down to snuggle.
FTD: Fresh to death.  Looking good basically.
GTL: Gym, Tanning, Laundry.  The schedule they make for themselves to follow.
GFA: Grenade Free America.  Avoiding clubs and public places with grenades.
MVP: Mike, Vinny, Pauly.  When the single guys want a night out themselves looking for girls.

There will be a season 4 coming soon, but this time they won’t be in Miami or Seaside—they will be in the none other but Italy.  Can’t wait!

Searching

We are left again with another shocking episode.  This was the episode over spring break since they did not play one this past Sunday.

Gaby sees Bob and Lee have been taking their newly adopted daughter, Jenny, for violin lessons for the talent show.  With the way they praise her for having her do things to make them happy as to playing the violin, Gaby questions their parenting skills.  However, she starts to compare Jenny with her daughter Juanita and sees that Juanita does nothing other than watch TV after school.   She encourages Juanita to pursue tap dancing for the talent show, but after she sees how awful Juanita’s dance is the night of the talent show before they leave, Gaby hides her tap shoes to save embarrassment for Juanita, but mainly for herself.  After seeing how upset Juanita was as to have to drop out, she sees her parenting skills are much worse and how she disappointed her daughter for her own sake.

A move like this is a typical Gaby move.  She is always looking out for herself regardless of what others think.  This talent show and Juanita’s skit was a big realization for her showing how selfish she really is and she reflects by giving her the tap shoes back.  Seeing how happy it made Juanita made her feel good that she actually did a good deed for once.

After fainting, the doctors tell Susan her kidney is failing and to do everything now before it is too late.   Her and Mike have a romantic dinner at the park where they got married.  Mike ends up injuring his foot and is having trouble walking.  Their car then breaks down once they get to it so they are forced to walk with a sick patient and a limping man.  Mike expresses his frustration and fear of losing Susan and she tells him she will fight through this to grow old with him and to see MJ grow into a man.

Weirdly enough, Susan was very positive this whole episode.  Usually she always plays the “poor me” stunt but when she is finally in a “poor me” situation, she doesn’t act out that way.  Even as an adult, she is becoming more mature as to how to handle situations and realizes she has to be positive to everyone in her life and encourage them to be positive with her as well instead of everyone dwelling.

Rene tells Lynette she is interested in adopting a child of her own.  To prove to Lynette she can do it, she offers to babysit Paige for an evening.  Well, Rene ends up on a date, bringing Paige along to the restaurant, and Tom and Lynette are at the same restaurant.  Lynette finds out Rene paid a waitress to babysit the child and Lynette and Tom let all their anger out on Rene, telling her she would never make for a good parent.  She later apologizes and Lynette, her and Paige go out for an afternoon together to learn how to do daily things with a baby.

Rene is trying to change her life to be more like her friends and to prove her maturity to them; she wants to adopt a child (she is the only one unmarried without a child).  After the restaurant incident, Rene sees that she is too self-involved and not ready yet for a child as she wished she would and realizes the steps she has to go through in order to prepare herself.

Bree is feeling very depressed lately after Keith left, reflecting on her past of how her evil stepson took over her business and her grown children never call and she never sees her grandson anymore.  She invites the Reverend over for advice and he tells her to reach out to someone else to make her feel better about her self by helping someone.  She gets a blood test and is a match for Susan and plans on giving Susan her kidney.

Bree has had hardships in the past and with this most recent one, she is feeling helpless.  By helping one of her best friends, at the end of the episode she is starting to feel more positive and getting back into her regular “Bree mode.”

And finally, Beth pays a visit back to Paul’s house professing her love for him so he will take her back.  He refuses and tells him about how he did in fact kill Martha Huber, Beth’s aunt (the one that found out about Paul and Mary Alice stealing Zach from Mike at the hospital).  Beth goes to the jail to tell her mother about the news, but she is furious that Beth didn’t think to get the confession on tape and Beth is then removed off of her visitor’s list at the jail.  Beth is now feeling totally isolated and depressed so she realizes too she is a match for the kidney but Bree insists on being the donor.  Then at the hospital, Beth shots herself in the head, but the doctors are suspicious if she did or didn’t die from the gunshot.

Being isolated by Paul for good and being removed from her mother’s life, Beth is totally alone for the rest of her life and ultimately tries to commit suicide.  Kind of ironic though that this is Paul’s second wife and they both committed suicide.

Next week, I hope they go into great detail about Beth’s suicide and go more into why they don’t think she died directly from the gunshot and if it was something else instead.  And hopefully Bree’s kidney transplant will happen in enough time to save Susan’s life.

Oscars' Best Dressed..I Think Not

Once again, Desperate didn’t have a new episode this week due to the Oscars.  I figured I’d make this blog this week then about the Oscars, mainly the red carpet pre-show.  I went onto People.com and saw what they nominated at the top 19 best-dressed women.  I personally did not agree with some of their ratings so here is what I think the top 3 worst-dressed on their best-dressed list.
http://www.gaelick.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/theoscars.jpg
First off is Cate Blanchett.   She is wearing a much shorter hair cut without her long locks of blonde hair which I don’t think flatters her that well personally.  Now back to her dress.  I just think its very plain and strange looking.  You’ve got a seashell/circular figure on her chest with a rippled, textured affect that continues on the bottom portion of the dress.  The detail with the little spheres everywhere just don’t do anything for the dress and are basically pointless detailing.  Next, the cut of the dress is just very odd and boring yet again.  The sleeves have a boxed look to them and create a boxed looking for the rest of the dress, doing nothing for her small figure.  And finally, the random yellow touch at the top is so random and is just there—they don’t add much more appeal to the dress or anything.  Basically in my opinion, a big thumbs down.
Next up is Michelle Williams.  First of all, I am not really a fan of the pixy hair cut to begin with and I think she looked much better with her longer hair.  Now on to the dress.  It’s a very simple, tight fitting dress that has really nothing to it.  The nude color I don’t think agrees very well with her pale skin tone.  I understand a lot of celebrities go for that nude dressed look but I just am not a huge fan of it, especially when one’s skin tone doesn’t agree.  It’s a sheer base with beading detail all over it basically that just adds to the dreary tone.  The tee-shirt like sleeves don’t add to the appeal of the dress either just making it seem like a dull dress that resembles a tee-shirt on the top.  I do agree that it does flatter her figure somewhat by showing how skinny her waist it but other than that it’s just very blah and makes for a boring look-at at the Oscars.
Last up is Mandy Moore.  I really hate to do this to her because I am a fan of hers but this dress, not so much.  Beginning with her hair, I just am not a fan of the slick-back, middle part look so that wasn’t setting the mood very well when I first saw her on the red carpet.  The nude color of this dress too blends in too much with her pale skin tone.  Unless you get a zoomed in view of the top of the dress, you can’t tell where it cuts off and that there is a straight across neckline of the jewels across her neck and continuing to her shoulders.  When we get to the waist, I just find it very weird, the cut.  It looks like the dress is in two parts and the bottom part is wired or something to make it stick out—just very weird.  I do actually like the bottom half of the different material and the transition between the jewels and such to that other material but its just the neckline and the weird waist that is killing this look for her.
I really did not see any appeal in any of the dresses and I find it very hard and strange to believe that these three actresses were on People.com’s top 19 best dressed at the Oscars.

Farewell Letter

This past episode of DHW hasn’t failed again in the drama and shock.

After finding out of Gaby’s rape as a child, she and Carlos go to Texas to visit her abuser’s grave Carlos feels it will be good closure for her to just let all her anger out at the gravesite.  While on the trip, Gaby is swarmed by the townspeople—coming from such a small town, she was the only one to basically leave and become a celebrity in their eyes when she used to model.  Carlos is angry that she is booking radio interviews and soaking up the fame since it wasn’t the point of the trip.

Gaby is ignoring Carlos by furthermore surrounding herself within the paparazzi.  She is again ignoring the problem she has in front of her and bottling in her emotions, something Carlos is trying to help her with but she isn’t responding.

Keith has mixed emotions about his son.  He tries to convince Bree to move with him to Florida to live closer but Bree refuses.  Ultimately, the two break up and Keith moves to Florida and Bree is left alone on Wisteria Lane.

Bree can almost think now she regrets telling him about his son just because it ruined their relationship.  But at the same time, she has a heart and left it was necessary to risk their relationship for his true happiness.

Lynette is frustrated with her two grown twins, especially the fact they are bringing girls home around their younger siblings.  They tell the parents they got their own place and are fending for themselves.  Low and behold though, they have been staying at the neighbor’s house and having her cook and clean for them—basically they aren’t on their own as they made it seem and Lynette is again mad at the boys.

She is trying to mature her sons to be able to face the world when they eventually do move out and feels it’s a reflection of her mothering if her sons wont ever be able to cook or clean or do their own laundry.

Susan, under Rene’s influence, starts using her dialysis as an excuse to get her way in lines, to avoid waits and restaurants.  At the end of the episode, Susan collapses in a restaurant after being yelled at by a man for using her dialysis as an excuse to cut the line.

Karma ended up biting Susan in the butt.  Using her dialysis to get what she wants worked for a while but then had it consequences when she faints.

Paul is working on getting Zach sober again and decides to send him to a rehab center.  While having much going on in his life right now with his son and trying to figure out who shot him, he ends up kicking Beth out of the house out of suspicion.

Next week, we hope to see if Gaby will ever fully get her closure and follow though with her therapy, how Bree is handling her breakup, what Lynette’s sons are going to end up doing, Susan’s well being and what Beth will do now homeless.

Flashback

And finally, we are back to new episodes of Desperate!  As this is one of my favorite shows, my roommate and I were very excited once 9:00 came around on Sunday night.

http://www.buddytv.com/user/pink3510/
showdown-stats.aspx
Carlos sends Gaby to a psychologist to talk about her doll obsession and why she correlates it to represent her biological daughter, Grace.  She begins to ditch the sessions and has been going to the spa without Carlos knowing.  When he does eventually find out, he convinces her to go and she asks him to assist her.  At her session, we learn that Gaby was molested by her stepfather growing up and that is why she takes such a protective-bone over Grace, whom had fled to Mexico with her family.

As this is new information about Gaby, we can all start to see why she is so obsessed over this doll.  At first it just seems as if Gaby was going crazy about the whole situation but now we can put two-and-two together and it now all makes sense.

http://images.wikia.com/desperate/images/3/34/
The_Scavo_family.jpg
Lynette’s mother’s new husband insists on taking a family portrait.  Lynette argued this as inappropriate since they had just gotten married, but her mother convinces her it’d make him happy.  In the midst of taking the photo, he dies right in the living room.  Her mother puts off telling the police about his death until the next morning because of the will and she wouldn’t get her share in the will until the morning.  Lynette is very against this but goes along with it because the mother agrees to pay for the children’s education for the future.

Gaby’s family has always been the rich family—no one else really.  Now that Lynette has money raises a suspicion as to what is going to happen next because the Scavo’s just aren’t people to flaunt around money, especially so suddenly.

http://www.wikinoticia.com/images/tvlia.com/
cdn.tvlia.com.files.2011.01.DH-S07E11-3.jpg
At the hospital, Susan meets an old high school classmate and after they start talking, he offers her his kidney.  The two begin to hang out as friends up until the surgery since he is being so generous, but we then learn of an obsession he had of Susan since high school and never let go. (He gives her a scrapbook of pictures he took of her for the yearbook)  She confronts him about how she cannot be in a relationship with him after the surgery because she is married and he then tells her he cannot give her his kidney.

Susan is devastated at this but she is also left in a sticky situation.  She has a very generous man offering her a kidney, four years in advance, but he is expecting a relationship between the two of them at the end and she just cannot do that with Mike and MJ, and the fact that he basically stalked her all of high school.

http://desperate-housewives.maxupdates.tv/wp-content/
uploads/2011/02/DHseason7e15.jpg
Bree continues to try to keep his son a secret from Keith.  In a strange run-in at an arcade where Bree is briefly watching the child while giving the mother the child support, Keith starts to play arcade games with him and Bree sees how happy and great he is with the child.  At the end of the episode, Bree tells Keith that he was his son.

This is very hard of Bree to do because she knows how devastating it is for Keith not to have children with her because of her age.  But at the arcade, she sees how good he is with the child and she cannot be selfish anymore and sacrifices their relationship for his happiness of knowing about his son.

http://images.wikia.com/desperate/images/4/47/Zach-promo.jpg
Paul seeks Mike’s help to look for Zack, Paul’s adopted son but Mike’s real son with another woman.  The gun that Paul was shot with was familiar to him because his son owned it.  When Mike and Paul finally come to peace, they visit Zack and see he is addicted to drugs and is throwing his life away.

Aside from his son potentially being the one who killed him, Paul realizes his son needs help and him and Mike come to their differences in order to help their son since he is obviously and for some reason going through a very difficult time in his life.

Next week, this is what I hope to see.  We will hopefully see more into Gaby’s past and how this is relating to her obsession with her Grace doll.  Lynette’s family may be at some risk because of their new money.  When the police take the body, they may perform an autopsy and see that they lied about the death time and could potentially put their family into danger.  Susan may approach the man for a compromise for his kidney since it probably won’t be for another four years until she gets a donor.  Keith hopefully will maintain a balance between his son and still staying with Bree by having him on the weekends or such, just so Keith will be able to stay with Bree and still have a child in his life like he’s always dreamt of.   And every situation including Zack is always interesting and unpredictable so all I can hope for next week is that something exciting happens with Zack since he is back in the picture.

Super Bowl 2011

Well I figured, since this past Sunday was the ever-famous Super Bowl Sunday between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers, I’d make this post about that instead.  Luckily, this was the last week of the repeat episodes of Desperate Housewives and this coming Sunday will pick up off from my first post and we’ll be back and running with new and exciting episodes.

As none of the two teams playing in this year’s Super Bowl were teams I could really care less about, I just watched it this year for the social aspect of being with friends and for the commercials.  Like many others, the Doritos commercials are always my favorite but it stinks that only one of them will make it to the Super Bowl.  I searched into the other potential Super Bowl 2011 Doritos ads and figured I’d post the top three in my eyes for everyone’s entertainment.

#3:

#2 is very close to being my favorite ad next to #1:

And the one that made it to the Super Bowl 2011, #1:

So again, next week will continue the new episodes of Desperate Housewives, leaving off from my first post—“I’m Still Here.”  Maybe skim through it quick as a refresher for next week’s new episode.

Truly Content

I apologize again to everyone that these are repeat episodes but I promise only this and one more post will be repeats and then we’ll be back to the continuation of the series.  This past episode on DHW, it is filled with nothing but sneaky actions, confusion, competition, accusations and mysteries.

To deal with his depression, a doctor prescribes Tom marijuana to help keep him happy.  Lynette is mad that her husband thinks the only way to make him more cheerful and happy is through the drug, so she exchanges the marijuana with oregano.  Tom still thinks he’s smoking marijuana but when Carlos is over, he smells it and tells him that it’s oregano.  He becomes angry with Lynette but she tells him all this time, he didn’t need the drug to be happy since he was just using oregano.
http://www.buddytv.com/articles/Image/
desperate-housewives/tomscavo-1.jpg

Again, we see Lynette trying to help her husband with his problems, as last week he found comfort in Rene, which made her very upset.  We see Lynette’s efforts in being a better wife to Tom and she is slowly, but surely making progress.

Gabby and Carlos sign papers at the hospital agreeing to not sue the hospital and that they are aware there is nothing the hospital can do to find their biological daughter.  Gabby becomes crazy over the idea of not ever seeing her own daughter so she convinces Bob to hire a private detective to find the family with their daughter without Carlos’s consent.  When Bob tells them that he found the family, Gabby is thrilled while Carlos is furious with Gabby going behind his back and threatens to divorce her if she keeps up the behavior.

Gabby cannot get the idea out of her head that she doesn’t have her biological daughter and that she will never have the opportunity to ever meet her daughter.  As much as she loves Juanita, she can’t get over that fact and is angry that Carlos will not back her up in her desire to meet her daughter.

DESPERATE-HOUSEWIVES-The-Thing-That-Counts

Bree finds out that her handy worker Keith has a girlfriend and goes on a girl’s not out at a bar with Rene.  The women soon see that Keith is at the bar, alone, and Rene, as sneaky as she knows Bree’s feelings, approaches him and starts flirting with him.  She finds out that his girlfriend just dumped him and he ends up bringing Rene home, which makes Bree furious.  Bree decides to get competitive and breaks her sprinkler system and calls Keith over right away to fix it, and this becomes a slight war between the two women.

Now we usually don’t see this side of Bree, the sneakiness and the competitiveness but its something different and intriguing to see.  They are both two older women going for a much younger man but as Rene has the looks and moves to reel Keith in, we will see what Bree now has to offer to take him away.

Susan is still doing her cleaning website but it takes a wrong turn when another woman copies Susan’s routine and is bringing her viewers down, hence less money.  So she acts out by going to the woman’s house and confronting her, which almost loses both the women their jobs.
Susan is trying so hard to keep their marriage alive by doing work she doesn’t even approve of nor can she tell anyone about it.  As the season progresses, we will see the decisions she makes as to this job.

The housewives invite Beth, Paul’s new wife, over for tea and try to find out as much as they can about him now.  With the poor things the women have to say about Paul, Beth asks around the neighborhood herself about her husband and learns he was the number one suspect for a murder and how the whole neighborhood despises him for it.

Beth starts to question her intentions of staying with a man so hated on Wisteria Lane and if she should get herself out of the situation.

You Must Meet My Wife

So it had come to my attention Sunday night that for the next two weeks, Desperate Housewives is repeating the first few episodes of this season and the next episode preceding my last post won’t be on air until February 13th.  The episode they played on Sunday was the second episode of the 7th season so for anyone who had missed the beginning of the season, I can fill you in on what you missed.

Bree hires a handy man, Keith, to do her yard work and she then starts to become attracted to the much younger man and she can’t help but feel guilty for her feelings.  While pulling out of her driveway, staring at Keith, accidently hits Juanita, Gaby and Carlos’ daughter while she was riding her bike.  With the accident he had slightly cost her and their age difference, she fires him out of guilt but then apologizes telling him she had slight feelings for him and he is rehired.  After her recent divorce, Bree is left confused with her feelings especially towards such a younger man and is afraid of what the other housewives on Wisteria Lane would think if she were to start a relationship with this man.

After the incident with her daughter, Gaby had been spending most of her time at the hospital with Juanita.  When a nurse checks her medical background for the hospital’s records, it is known that the blood type of Juanita does not match up with the blood type that Carlos and Gaby would produce.  Gaby thinks back to a drunken weekend she had in France and worries that Carlos in fact isn’t the father.  The next day at the hospital, the same nurse informs Carlos of the news and pulls Gaby aside to tell her some information she had not known—Juanita isn’t there biological daughter.  Their daughter and Juanita were mixed up at birth and Gaby is devastated with the news.  Gaby is left distraught and confused over the news cannot think of what to possibly do next.

Susan, with her and Mike’s financial issues, takes a job as a lingerie wearing cleaner broadcasted on a webcam show called “Va-va-va-broom.”  She does this in secrecy so her friends do not judge her and Mike doesn’t stop her.  Susan tells Mike she’s been making this money on the side selling jewelry.  Mike is so proud of her efforts to help support their family and buys her flowers out of appreciation and she starts to feel overwhelmed with guilt keeping this a secret from him and, well of course, for what she is acting doing.

Lynette’s friend from college Renee (later becomes the newest housewife on Wisteria Lane) has been staying at the Scavo residence.  Tom comes home from the doctor and tells Lynette he has Postpartum Depression, an illness mainly women only get.  She laughs at him and does take him seriously and this upsets Tom.  He starts to confide with Renee over his depression and this angers Susan.  When she approaches him as to why he is doing this, he tells her how she never listens to him and that’s why he’s depressed.  This is hard for Susan to take seriously but she apologizes and agrees to listen to her husband more with his drama.

Renee is starting to make a name for herself now on Wisteria Lane and tells Lynette she is buying a house on the lane.  Tom is angry at her and pulls her aside to tell her that its not a good idea that she moves on the lane because of their past.  That is all we are left with concerning that issued so it leaves us guessing as to what is going to happen and what did happen between the two.

The four wives find a woman looking lost walking around the lane and ask her if she needs help.  She says she is looking for Paul Young and the women are taken back and afraid what an innocent looking woman is doing looking for such a man.  He then comes out and introduces the women to Beth, his new wife and the women are left in awe and shock.

I can’t really say what I hope to see next episode just because I already know what is going to happen.  But for those of you who don’t, I can leave you pondering about is Bree going to pursue this new man?  What are Gaby and Carlos going to do with the news that their biological daughter is living somewhere else and Juanita isn’t their true child?  Will Susan continue with her new job even though it is eating her up inside?  Will we learn about Tom and Renee’s seem to be past and what will Lynette think?  And finally, what the heck is Paul Young doing with a new wife?  Until next week, we will see what will unravel on the never-ending-drama of Wisteria Lane.
