Last time we left off, Beth had signed over her kidney for Susan and then proceeded to shoot herself in her head. With this horrific event, Paul tries to get in the way of Susan taking the kidney and Susan begins to think about it and declines the kidney as well. Her friends and family are disappointed but cannot understand how she is feeling about the kidney, especially after talking to Paul Young of all people, a man who has had hate for her family. In the end, the two talk and rethink things and Paul and Susan both agree for the kidney transplant.
When Paul and Susan speak, he tells her she is undeserving of his wife’s kidney since Susan and the other women always left her out and never made efforts to befriend her. Susan reflects on their past with Beth and realizes she has never made any efforts to befriend this woman so she thinks why should I take her kidney if I never gave her anything in return? This is another act of maturity for Susan. In the past, she was always the naïve one and since this accident, she has been maturing and seeing things from different point of views.

We see another side of Renee here learning about her childhood. Her mother had committed suicide when she was young and was never able to understand why at such a young age. So that’s how she developed the belief of celebrating life at the time of death and not mourning because death opens her eyes almost about being alive and never knowing what will happen next.

Bree’s son Andrew returns and she learns from his partner, Alex that his alcoholism has been overwhelming lately and he ends up leaving Andrew. Since alcoholism has a history in her family, Bree takes him to an AA meeting. He expresses how he feels about his mother of how she tries to develop her kids to be the way she wants and walks out on her. The two talk and she eventually gets him to open up and talk to her instead of a group of strangers.
With Bree’s son coming back with such a problem, she focuses all her attention on curing him. She had talked to Beth the day before her suicide and she realized something was wrong but decided not to say anything since the women weren’t close friends with her. Now that she can see a problem within Andrew, she knows she needs to act out and offer help before it is too late like with Beth, something she can never forgive herself for.

Because of the death of her daughter, Felicia (Beth’s mother, a woman out to get Paul because he strangled her sister Martha in season 1 for blackmailing his late wife Mary-Alice..confusing), has been released from prison. This is now her chance to get her sworn revenge on Paul ever since he killed her sister.

Next episode, I hope to see that Susan’s surgery is a success and she can finally be out of the hospital and stress-free about her health. Hopefully Bree’s son decides to move in to work on sobering up and working with Bree in order to do so. And we will finally see how Felicia and Paul are going to interact now that she is out of jail and what will happen between the two.
